Fashion group Marchpole Holdings has signed a five-year deal with global jeans brand Lee Cooper Inc to launch new designer denim lines.

Under the terms of the agreement, Marchpole's Jean Charles de Castelbajac (JCC) subsidiary will design two new premium denim lines for spring/summer 2008.

These will be the only premium denim lines offered by Lee Cooper, the company said, and Jean Charles de Castelbajac will receive royalties on all wholesale and retail sales. All marketing and development will be jointly funded.

JCC will design the main line, branded "JC-DC" which will target the younger end of the men's and women's market, and be distributed through 250 Lee Cooper retail stores and JCC flagship stores worldwide. In total, Lee Cooper has some 500 retail stores.

Alongside the mainline collection JCC will design a high-end denim collection, JC de Castelbajac, which will target existing JCC customers. This collection will be sold in JCC flagship stores worldwide and also top end Lee Cooper stores.

Michael Morris, Marchpole executive deputy chairman commented: "The partnership is yet another step in broadening the customer base of Jean Charles De Castelbajac, into the lucrative denim market."

In addition to Jean Charles De Castelbajac, Marchpole's brands include Boateng and Emmanuel Ungaro which are sole in the UK, mainland Europe, Middle East, Asia and the US.
