Italian leather and apparel company, Mariella Burani Fashion Group, today reported a 62 per cent increase in revenue for the nine month period ended September 30, fuelled by a surge in apparel sales.

Revenues topped 330 billion lire compared to 206bn lire in the same period last year, with the increase mainly being attributed to the strong performance of the group's apparel division.

The company added that another factor was the consolidation of five of the six leather companies held by holding company Antichi Pellettieri Spa for the group's leather goods operations.
