Mexican multinational Bonlam Andina, manufacturer of nonwoven fabrics and industrial materials for medical products such as surgical gowns, facemasks and gloves, is investing around US$60 million to double production capacity at its plant in Colombia's El Pacifico Free Trade Zone.

Bonlam Andina is part of the International Polymer Group, which has 25 production plants in 12 countries.

It is a supplier to the world's leading manufacturers of industrial and consumer products. In Latin America, the company has a direct presence in Mexico, Colombia and Argentina, and has a sales office in Brazil.

Colombia currently has 10 Free Trade Zones located in Bogota, Medellín (Rionegro), Cali, Cartagena, Barranquilla, Armenia, Santa Marta and Cúcuta.
