Greek intimate apparel and knitwear maker Minerva is set to invest $1.1 million in boosting production capacity at its plant in Romania.

The company said the investment in the Rosiorii de Vede factory will be made by 2005 through its wholly-owned its subsidiary Minco Romania which employs 100 workers.

Minerva recently posted a 60 per cent jump in first half net profit to $530,000 from the year-ago period as it built upon its international presence in markets such as France, Belgium and Italy.
