Sports clothing and equipment manufacturer Mizuno Corp is to sell its golfing apparel and underwear overseas for the first time, starting with its winter 2002-2003 ranges.

The firm, which is based in Osaka, western Japan, said it expects the expansion of its product lines will raise fiscal 2002/2003 turnover to 1.1 billion yen ($91.2 million).

Mizuno's golf and underwear are manufactured in its south east Asia plants. They use the company's special acrylate-fibre moisture absorbing and heat-generating material Breath Thermo.
