Troubled men's wear chain Moss Bros has attracted the attentions of a second clothing entrepreneur just weeks after it rejected the advances of Joe Bloggs founder Shami Ahmed, newspapers reported on Sunday.

Reports said Harold Tillman is contemplating a bid for the loss-making company and has written to Moss Bros chairman Keith Hamill suggesting a merger or partnership with Baird Menswear Brands.

Tillman, whose company makes Jasper Conran and Pierre Cardin suits, may even make a full bid for Moss Bros, whose banners include Cecil Gee and Savoy Taylors Guild, it was claimed.
