Mothers Work, Inc (Nasdaq: MWRK) today announced that net sales for the month of November 2000 increased 14.0 per cent to $32.5m from $28.6m for November 1999. Comparable store sales for November 2000 increased 3.2 per cent (based on 632 locations) compared to an increase of 7.9 per cent(based on 539 locations) for the November 1999 period. This represents the company's 43rd consecutive month of positive sales comps.

During the month, the company opened nine new maternity store locations and one additional lease department. As of November 2000, there are a total of 743 locations compared to 648 at November 1999. Although still a minor part of the Company's total revenue, Internet sales have increased 345 per cent above November 1999.
