Battling retailer, Marks & Spencer, today defended criticism about the group's handling of its European closure plans. Alain Juillet, the man appointed to oversee the group's withdrawal from France, claimed M&S' executive chairman, Luc Vandevelde had made "communication errors". The comments were made in an interview Mr Juillet, former boss of chocolate maker, Jacobs Suchard, gave to the French newspaper, Le Figaro.
