High street giant Marks & Spencer has unveiled its colourful new range of boys’ apparel designed in conjunction with England and Manchester United soccer star David Beckham.

The DB07 collection, named after his initials and shirt number, is aimed at boys aged from four to 16 and includes sporty black and red T-shirts, zip-up jackets and loose-fitting tracksuit trousers with a "Beckham" logo in the ankle zip.

The new range will go on sale on September 21 and will be followed up by five new collections in the next three years as part of a reported £2 million deal with the fashion giant.

"I wanted to create clothes that are different from what you would normally expect to see in Marks & Spencer - that kids get excited about wearing,” Beckham said. “I hope that's what I've done and will go on doing over the next three years."
