Luxury goods brand Mulberry Plc has reported a 50 per cent leap in its spring sales, attributed to the company's continuous strategy to turn around its image.

Mulberry's UK same-store sales rose 50 per cent in the first 11 weeks of the spring season, while its spring order book have so far overtaken last year's by over 55 per cent.

The company - which has gone from being seen as a tired brand to a favourite among British celebrities - said that orders for the autumn and winter season were already considerably beating last year's.

Mulberry is currently focusing on deals to expand throughout Asia and the US by forging partnerships with department stores and distributers.
