Cotton processor and marketer Namoi Cotton Cooperative Ltd has posted a 17 per cent increase in net profit for the fiscal half ended 31 August, helped by "restructuring and resizing."

Profit was A$12.1 million, up from A$10.3m in the year-before period.

Revenues in the six months totalled A$214.2m - an increase from the previous A$205.8m.

Chairman Stuart Boydell said the improved results were also due to better ginning and market contributions and interest savings.
