Fabrics woven and knitted from natural fibres will be very much in focus at the next Textile Forum show, which takes place in London in October.

Johnstons of Elgin, known for its cashmere, The Merino Company and British Alpaca Fashion are among companies joining the event this year.

"This season the emphasis is very much on natural and fancy fabrics with lace particularly prominent as the impact of the Royal Wedding shows no signs of abating," explains organiser Linda Laderman. "Visitors will also be able to see the upcoming trend for fabrics with a 3D effect."

The event will take place on 19-20 October at The Music Room, London.

Cottons from Acorn and Ringhart, men's and women's wools and cashmeres from Holland & Sherry, tweeds from Marling & Evans, merino wool knits from JT Knitting, buttons from R & B Accessories and leathers from G H Leathers are also among he collections available at the show.

The Textile Forum is aimed at designers, small to medium sized manufacturers, dressmakers and retail fabric specialists. Exhibitors at the event offer small minimums and many also have stock and short order fabrics as well as collections for forward order.
