Apparel producer Nautica Enterprises Inc on Tuesday revealed two senior appointments for its Nautica women's sportswear and Nautica women's jeans divisions.

The company said Don Witkowski, president of Nautica International, who oversees Nautica men's sportswear, has added to his responsibilities the development of the Nautica women's sportswear line.

Nautica added that Miyuki Takahashi will be joining it as senior vice president, creative director - Nautica women's where she will be responsible for the creative design direction for all Nautica women's products, including Nautica women's sportswear and Nautica women's jeans, both in the US and Europe.

Leslie Singer will also join the company from Guess? Inc as vice president of sales for Nautica women's jeans. Ms Singer will be responsible for heading up the sales force and work closely with the merchandisers in developing the lines.

David Chu, vice chairman of Nautica and creative director for the Nautica brand, commented: "We are very enthusiastic about the organisational structure that we have implemented for our overall women's business.

"We welcome Miyuki and Leslie as new additions and believe their respective backgrounds, coupled with the already strong teams that Don and Paulette have put in-place, will have a positive impact on the overall direction of the company."
