Neiman Marcus has reported higher sales for the third quarter of the year, on the back of strong sales.

For the 13 weeks ended April 30, 2011, the company reported total revenues of US$983.8m compared to $895.2m in the prior year. Comparable revenues increased 9.7%.

The company reported net earnings of $46.2m for the 13 weeks ended 30 April, compared to $18.5m in the prior year.

For the 39 weeks ended 30 April, Neiman Marcus reported total revenues of $3.08bn compared to $2.87bn in the prior year. The company reported net earnings of $93.0m for this period, compared to $30.9m in the prior year, a near three-fold increase.
