Cobbler to the rich and famous, Patrick Cox, has come up with a pair of boots to light up Christmas and blow a hole in your pocket.

The top shoemaker, whose designs are worn by Elton John, Liz Hurley and George Michael to name a few, has brought out a limited edition Light Boot.

But if you feel light on your feet and want to dash out and buy a pair they could leave a hole in your pocket - costing £2,000 a pair!

The boots have a fibre-optic network resting underneath the fine mesh covering which lights up in red, blue or white.

The lights are turned on by a small switch located on the side of the boot.

Cox shot to fame in the early 90's before going on to open a store in London's Sloane Square, followed by shops in Paris, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and America.
