The new Learning Hub aims to help users better understand the circular economy

The Ellen MacArthur Foundation has launched a new 'Learning Hub' to help explain the the circular economy and its impact on a number of industries, including fashion.

The new hub tackles questions such as 'What is the circular economy?' 'What can I do within my business?' 'How do I describe what the circular economy is to my colleagues, friends, and family?' through a variety of multimedia content.

"Our new, open learning hub is designed to help individuals to build their own personal understanding of the circular economy, and begin to apply this knowledge to their work. Everyone can be part of a growing global community that enables our world to thrive by creating unstoppable momentum towards a circular economy," explains Jules Hayward, learning lead at the Ellen MacArthur Foundation.

The non-profit organisation is working with business, government, and academia to help build a framework for an economy that is restorative and regenerative by design. Its mission is to accelerate the transition to a circular economy.

It recently led the development of new 'Jeans Redesign Guidelines' that set out minimum requirements on garment durability, material health, recyclability, and traceability – with the ultimate aim of ensuring jeans last longer, can easily be recycled, and are made in a way that is better for the environment and the health of garment workers.
