A new Certificate in Business Administration in Leather Management and Supply is being offered by BLC Leather Technology Centre and Nottingham Trent University.

The eight-month programme is aimed at people wishing to develop their management and business skills, acquire a greater understanding of leather and the leather industry and advance their career and personal development.

The modular course consists of four core business modules and two leather electives, each of which kicks off with a two-day teaching workshop.

This is followed by a five-week period of guided home study, which is supported by a study and reading pack, as well as a course mentor assigned to assist students with any questions and a website. Each module is assessed by a written work-based assignment.

The CBA will commence with the first workshop on 12 and 13 January 2006 and students will complete their last assignment late August/early September. Graduation at the University is in November 2006.
