Printing specialist Epson America has introduced its latest wide-format textile printer said to deliver high-speed, industrial-level productivity for digital dye-sublimation transfer printing on a range of polyester textile and apparel applications.

The new 64-inch Epson SureColor F9370 delivers speeds up to 1,169 square feet per hour, the company says, an increase of up to 75% compared to the previous generation SureColor F9200.

It also features an integrated new fabric wiping system that cleans the printhead to ensure reliable output quality and continuous production, coupled with a roll-to-roll media support system to handle economical lightweight transfer papers.

Already a winner of the 2017 SGIA (Specialty Graphic Imaging Association) Product of the Year Award in the 'Roll-to-Roll Dye Sublimation on Textile' category, the SureColor F9370 leverages dual PrecisionCore TFP printheads, and the company's latest dye-sublimation ink technology – UltraChrome DS with High-Density Black3 – for colour saturation and high contrast.

Its roll-to-roll media support system features auto paper-tension control to ensure consistent paper feed movement, regardless of paper weight and core shape or diameter. The new media feed system also supports heavier media rolls and transfer paper as thin as 40gsm for a range of production needs – from fabric production and customised promotional production to cut-and-sew sports apparel.
