New Era Cap Company, Inc., the nation's leading manufacturer and marketer of baseball caps, today announced the availability of a new version of its Major League Baseball cap representing each of the 60 players selected to participate in the All-Star game to be played next week in Atlanta.

Each All-Star 2000 baseball cap is an authentic, fitted cap featuring the player's name, signature and uniform number embroidered on the side of his team cap, along with the All-Star logo.

The caps are the exact model to be worn by the National and American League squads during the All-Star game on Tuesday, July 11. The caps will also be worn by participants in the home run-hitting contest on Monday, July 10.

"This is the third year we have teamed up with Major League Baseball and the Major League Baseball Players Association to offer fans an authentic piece of the All-Star weekend," said Christopher H. Koch, president of New Era Cap Company, Inc. "What makes this year even more exciting is that, for the first time, we have the ability to offer fans across the country each and every All Star player's cap at In the past, the caps were only available for a limited number of players at a limited number of retail locations in and around the All Star venue.

All-Star 2000 caps are available online for $28.99 each on the company's e-store. As part of its All-Star 2000 cap unveiling promotion, New Era will provide free shipping and handling for all orders (for the entire purchase) that include one of the new caps.

New Era Caps will also be selling the All-Star 2000 caps and other merchandise at its booth at Fanfest to be held in Atlanta today through July 11. The New Era booth will include a display on the history of cap making, as well as kiosks where visitors can log onto the New Era Web site and interactive e-store.
