Sportswear company International Brand Licensing has appointed Prague-based World Brands as licensee for the Admiral brand in the Czech Republic, Slovenia and Hungary.

The five-year agreement is tied into a pre-arranged level of royalties on World Brands' sales revenues, and is subject to minimum guarantees each year.

IBL chief executive Tony Hutchinson said the company was delighted to be entering the markets for the first time. "World Brands has a wealth of experience both with the sports retail sector and the professional sporting federations of the region, and we are confident that Admiral will quickly develop a real presence in these emerging markets," he added.
