Apparel industry software provider Computer Generated Solutions Inc (CGS), has added a new software module to its Blue Cherry line-up.

Blue Cherry Enterprise is an integrated enterprise resource planning (ERP)/supply chain management (SCM) system designed to reduce or eliminate charge backs for manufacturers.

According to Paul Magel, CGS senior vice president: "The biggest challenge facing the sewn products industry is staying competitive. Along with controlling charge backs, this involves managing costs, on-time delivery and customer service."

Customer Alan Wachtel, director of operations for Windsong (which recently purchased underwear brand Joe Boxer), added: "CGS software has been instrumental in keeping our charge backs to a minimum. And, if we are charged back, the software provides the documentation to make our case to reverse it."

Blue Cherry consists of a suite of five products designed to offer rapid return on investment (ROI) for mid-size and larger apparel and footwear manufacturers.
