Nike All Conditions Gear (ACG) has appointed Kirk Richardson to the position of category general manager. Richardson will continue as Nike ACG's current footwear business director, with the added responsibility of setting the overall Nike ACG business strategy across all regions and product engines.

Richardson will be charged with leading outdoor athletic innovation within the sales, marketing and operations processes of Nike ACG's regions in the United States, Asia-Pacific, the Americas and Europe.

The general managers in each respective region will report to Richardson, who in turn will report to Nike co-presidents Charlie Denson and Mark Parker.

Richardson served as category footwear leader in the running and special make-ups categories prior to Nike ACG. The 22-year Nike veteran will draw upon his experience in international positioning and strategy, built over five years overseas, three in Germany and two in Japan with Nike.
