The world’s biggest sportswear company Nike Inc on Thursday announced the promotion of three its general managers to vice president positions.

The Oregon-based company named Tom Kennedy vice president of US apparel, Jeff Fardell vice president of EMEA (Europe/Middle East/Africa) apparel and Stefano Caroti vice president of EMEA footwear. All three promotions are effective immediately.

Nike brand manager Mark Parker said: "Under Tom Kennedy's direction, Nike US Apparel has grown its performance business more than 30 per cent and improved Nike's overall product presentation, further elevating the Nike Apparel brand in the marketplace.

"As the GM for EMEA men's apparel, Jeff Fardell has consistently delivered dynamic growth and championed new ideas. He has built an exceptionally strong and integrated apparel and sales team that has taken the business to new levels."

He added: "Stefano's promotion is a well-deserved recognition of his leadership and the many contributions he has made to Nike's success as the GM for Nike Italy, the GM for Nike Germany and in his current role leading the growth and development of our EMEA footwear business."
