Nike has revamped its website in a bid to entice more people living in India into buying its sports apparel, footwear and sports products online.

New promotional offers include Nike 'killer deals', selling off older products at a discount, and improving the part of the site where consumers can purchase clothes, footwear, accessories and equipment from Nike's golf range.

Sixty per cent of the revenue obtained from the site so far has been in the gifting category, while in the last quarter, Nike's sales rose 70 per cent year on year with around 50 per cent of orders coming from areas where Nike does not have a physical presence.
