Nylon yarn specialist Nilit has named Zion Ginat as its new general manager, replacing Arie Gottlieb who is stepping down after 13 years in the post.

Ginat most recently held the position of CEO at European energy company Delek, and will take up his new role in January.

"Before me stands the challenge of maintaining Nilit's leadership position in nylon fibres for the textile industry," Ginat said, adding: "I am confident we will overcome all obstacles to grow even stronger."

Gottlieb is credited with steering Nilit to "outstanding growth," and successfully expanding both its plastics and fibres divisions.

The company produces nylon 6.6 and microfibre yarns in a broad selection of dtex and filament counts, lustre levels, and cross-sections. The yarns are used for knitwear, wovenwear and spandex-covering applications in legwear, bodywear, intimate apparel and activewear.
