Specialty lifestyle retailer Mexx Canada has selected NSB's Connected Retailer Planning and Allocation solutions for increased productivity and efficiency.

Mexx said it wanted a system that could easily integrate with GSI and provide efficient, easy-to-interpret information. The retailer plans to implement the solutions across its 80 stores by spring 2006.

Eric Champagne, vice president of logistics for Mexx Canada, said: "We believe these software systems will enable us to plan better for markdowns and provide the right assortment mix to the stores.

"Based on these two key performance indicators alone, we should see a payback in less than one year."

The Connected Retailer Planning Solution links top-level financial requirements with micro-market variables to successfully marry supply with demand, thereby optimising margins, turns, and the overall profitability of both merchandise and locations.

Mexx Canada operates more than 28 Mexx Fashion stores, 30 Mexx Factory stores, 2 Liquidation stores and 23 Liz Claiborne boutiques, in addition to the wholesale distribution of its Mexx and Liz Claiborne product line in more than 1,100 independent boutiques and department stores.
