Active lifestyle firm Oakley has hired Meredith Feldman as the company's director of apparel merchandising.

Feldman, who was previously president of street wear business Sub-Urban Brands, has more than 15 years experience.

She will oversee the company's apparel merchandising operations, particularly concentrating on boosting design and innovation in both performance and lifestyle products.

Oakley president Colin Baden said: "Meredith's comprehensive background rounds out a formidable merchandising team and underscores our commitment to strengthening and building Oakley's apparel business.

"As we continue to execute the strategic apparel initiatives we outlined earlier in the year including realigning our line architecture, size and diversity of the line, product flow, account focus, and operational excellence, we believe Meredith's insights and extensive experience will serve as an excellent asset to the team."
