President Barack Obama has appointed Josh Teitelbaum as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Textiles, Consumer Goods, and Materials.

A spokesperson for the US Department of Commerce confirmed the appointment to just-style. Formerly trade advisor to Senator Kay Hagan, Teitelbaum will take over from Kim Glas.

In his new role, Teitelbaum will oversee development of the US government's trade policy and trade promotion for the apparel and footwear industries.
