Chinese women's wear brand OmniaLuo Inc has nearly doubled its second quarter profit on soaring sales at its distributors and stores.

Net income rose 87.5% to $0.75m from $0.4m for the same period last year, while earnings per share were flat at $0.03.

For the quarter to 30 June revenue soared 98% to $3.7m from $1.9m, as the company added more independent distributors and stores.

Sales at independent distributors rose 65% to $2.5m or 68% of total revenue, from $1.5m last time, while sales from company-owned and co-owned stores leapt 242% to $1.2m from $0.35m.

Overall gross profit jumped 105% to $2.2m from $1.1m, and gross profit margin rose to 59%, from 57%.
