The number of Pacific Dunlop directors to leave during 2000 and 2001 has now risen to six with the announcement that chairman, John Ralph, and acting chief executive, Tony Daniels, will be gone by early 2002.

Ralph will be replaced by former FH Faulding chief executive, Ed Twedell.

Despite an 11 per cent drop in earnings for the September 2001 quarter, as announced last week, Pacific Brands' profit rose 23 per cent driven buy its acquisitions of Sara Lee apparel and Clarks shoes.
