Pacific Resources is to manage and promote Optimer Performance Fibers Inc's Dri-release with FreshGuard products for the Pacific Rim.

Pacific Resources, which specialises in the marketing of technical apparel, footwear and textiles, will work with Optimer to introduce and build brand recognition for Dri-release in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia.

Optimer is already well established in North America and is increasingly popular among European brands.

"Now that we are well known at home and meeting our goals in Europe, we feel ready to add new branded customers in the Asian market", says Karen Deniz, managing director of marketing for Optimer.

Dri-release is a patented, intimate blend of synthetic (hydrophobic) and natural (hydrophilic) fibres that accelerate the water release rate of wet fabric. It also has a natural cotton look and hand, and contains FreshGuard odour neutraliser.

Since its launch in 2000, Dri-release with FreshGuard has been embraced by active sports apparel brands and consumers. Recently its popularity has extended into sleepwear, travelwear and casual sportswear.

Pacific Resources, with offices in the California Bay Area and Japan, will also research and advise Optimer on the best spinners and raw material sources for the production of Dri-release with FreshGuard in the Asian market.
