Austrian underwear producer Palmers is in talks to sell its retail, footwear and shirt interests so that it can concentrate on its core underwear business.

According to Austrian press reports, negotiations are currently underway for the sale of Palmers' retail arm Kaufhaus Gerngross, part of Gerngross Kaufhaus AG.

It is also hoping to offload its 50 per cent stake in 10 million euros turnover shoe maker Ludwig Reiter. The Reiter family, which also owns a share in the company, is said to have expressed an interest and the deal could be completed within the next couple of weeks.

The final sale - for which offers are currently being reviewed - is of shirt producer Gloriette.
