Shoemaker to the rich and famous, Patrick Cox, is staying quiet over stories that he is close to clinching a deal with fashion conglomerate, LVMH.

Press reports say that LV Capital, the investment vehicle run by LVMH's chairman, Bernard Arnault, is to take a minority stake in Cobblers, Mr Cox's company.

But a spokesman from Mr Cox's London Office was today very cagey about the matter.

She told just-style: "We can't talk about it. There is nothing to say at the moment."

Press reports say that Mr Cox will become a consultant to Louis Vuitton, whose shoes are worn by Elton John, Liz Hurley and George Michael to name a few.
