Czech Republic-based fashion company Pietro Filipi is planning to expand the reach of its Italian-style clothing designs further east.

Pietro plans to break into the Estonian, Latvian and Russian markets before its larger rivals make the retail environment too competitive.

According to founder Petr Hendrych, the company is also interested in Romania and the Balkan countries in general.

Analysts estimate that Pietro has a 7 per cent hold over the Czech Republic and surrounding countries' apparel sectors.
