Italian children's fashion group Pinco Pallino has unveiled plans to open 15 new stores in Japan in the next six months.

The company said the expansion drive follows a deal with Japanese retailer Ma Mere and said the new stores are expected to generate a combined turnover of $12.5 million a year.

Pinco Pallino, which currently operates three stores in Japan selling apparel and shoes for children aged up to 14, added it also plans to expand its retail operations in China over the next few months.
