US fashion firm Polo Ralph Lauren has confirmed it will shift the operations of a leased distribution facility in the US, affecting around 100 workers there.

The company told just-style that operations at its distribution plant in Martinsburg, West Virginia, would be relocated to Greensboro, North Carolina, within the next year.

A spokesperson said that the move was partly due to the end of Polo Ralph Lauren's lease arrangement in Martinsburg, but also for cost and labour efficiency reasons.

The company has vowed to help affected workers relocate or find other employment.
