Christian von Uthmann, former CEO of Swedish solutions firm Polygiene, has seen his employment with the firm terminated.

Polygine said it reached an agreement with von Uthmann on Monday (9 April) to end his employment with immediate effect.

The news comes just three months after von Uthmann transitioned to vice president of new ventures and strategies from CEO in January. Ulrika Björk, who at the time was serving as the company's chief financial officer, was promoted to the helm.

Now Peter Sjösten, chief commercial officer at Polygiene, has taken on the responsibility of acting vice president, new ventures and strategies, in addition to his duties as CCO.

"Polygiene and Christian has reached an agreement today that results in Christian leaving his position in the company with immediate effect," said Björk.

"Peter has been with the company for many years and is a very important employee for the future journey of Polygiene. He is a team player and has an incredible drive, so I feel very confident about this change."
