Fibre specialist Poole Co is to manufacture a new co-polymer polyester fibre, which is resistant to shrinking, fading and wrinkling under the ComFortrel brand.

The company, which manufactures polyester, recycled and non-woven fibres, said it recently developed ComFortrel by Poole because the previous ComFortrel product by Wellman ceased doing business.

The new ComFortrel polyester fibre features technical properties similar to the previous fibre, it added. The fast-drying fibre can be dyed at 212 degrees, potentially uses less chemicals and is suitable for hosiery, activewear, children's wear and sportswear.

CEO David Poole said: "With Poole's manufacturing process and engineering team, we have introduced a proprietary product with familiar qualities and superior performance. The product gives consumers a breathable, moisture wicking, feel-good fiber that is technically advanced and has atmospherically-dyeable properties."
