Fashion firm Prada has indicated plans to offer shares to the public next year on the back of 10% growth during 2006.

The Italian fashion house told Reuters at a fashion show: "At this point, based on where we are it would make sense to go for an IPO (initial public offer) at some point, maybe next year."

Prada chief executive Patrizio Bertelli was quoted in November last year as saying that the company could consider a listing in 2008 but not in 2007.
