The Pretty Girl clothing company has bought the 13-strong Hilton's chain of women's fashion stores less than a month after Hilton's was put into administration.

Pretty Girl, which owns the national Rockmans and BeMe clothing stores, did not disclose the cost of the sale but says it now plans an aggressive rollout of more Hilton's stores around the country.

Hilton's specialises in mid to high end price cocktail and formal evening wear for women and reportedly generates $12 million in sales a year.

Pretty Girl chief executive Jeffrey Moss said his company would revitalise the Hilton's brand by improving its quality and fashionability.
