Pacific Safety Products (PSP) founder Brad Field is to retire from the company at the end of April, the company has announced.

Field will remain a board director at body armour manufacturer PSP and will retain a role as an advisor to the company on product technology.

Field said he looked back with "pride and satisfaction" on how far the company had come in the past 25 years. "PSP started from very humble beginnings back in the early 1980s and has gone through many highs and lows over the years," he said.

"I am proud to be able to leave PSP at a time when its performance has never been better."

PSP CEO David Scott thanked Field for all his efforts, adding: "He embodies the entrepreneurial spirit of translating a dream into vibrant reality."
