Caroti will leave Puma at the end of the month

Puma's chief commercial officer, Stefano Caroti, is to exit the German sportswear business after seven years in the role.

Caroti, who is leaving the group at the end of the month due to personal reasons, joined Puma in 2007, taking on responsibility for wholesale and retail functions.

Puma said the responsibilities of the CCO on board level are being taken over by CEO Bjørn Gulden, effective 1 January.

Last month, Puma said it believes things were moving in the right direction, after it posted an increase in footwear sales for the first time in seven quarters. During its third-quarter, sales grew 6.4% to EUR843m (US$1bn), with apparel sales up 11.4% and footwear sales rising 2%.
