Clothing giant Phillips-Van Heusen Corp (PVH) on Thursday unveiled a licensing deal with the BCBG Max Azria Group for the production and distribution of dress shirts and neckwear under the BCBG Max Azria brand.

The New York-based company said collections will be launched for Father's Day 2004, with retail price points for both dress shirts and neckwear are expected to range from $40 to $80.

It added distribution is targeted to prestige department and specialty stores in classification sections and designated areas within BCBG Max Azria branded shops.

Allen Sirkin, vice chairman, dress shirts of PVH, said: "We believe the BCBG Max Azria Group's passion and leadership in contemporary product fills an important void in the better dress shirt and furnishings market, which is continually eager for newness in fashion dressing.

"Our relationship is a perfect blending of core competencies and resources which will bring their macro-vision for the BCBG Max Azria brand to this viable consumer market."
