Outdoor sports company Quiksilver has completed its purchase of Skis Rossignol SA and has named Jean-Francois Gautier as the division's president.

Quiksilver now owns directly or indirectly approximately 94 per cent of Rossignol, which owns and operates a diversified portfolio of premier brands including Rossignol, Dynastar, Lange and Look in winter sports, as well as Cleveland Golf.

Rossignol's revenues totalled approximately USD589 million for the twelve months ended 31 March 2005. Quiksilver's acquisition of the unit is anticipated to add 2 cents - 3 cents per share to the group's earnings this year.

Gautier, who has managed an investment fund for the past five years, served as president of wintersports equipment producer Salomon between 1990 and 1998.
