RadiciGroup's Comfort Fibres Business is enlarging its product portfolio

Italian yarn maker RadiciGroup has expanded the capacity of its yarn twisting facility in Romania to cater for increasing demand for high-value yarns and tailor-made solutions.

The manufacturing facility at SC Yarnea srl Savinesti services RadiciGroup's Comfort Fibres Business Area, which produces polymers and staple fibres in PA6, polyamide 6, 6.6 and Bio yarn; as well as virgin and recycled polyester yarn, used in markets including clothing.

"We are committed to continuously enlarge our products portfolio and capacities," the company says, adding the capacity expansion will help supply its growing global businesses "and the aim to provide the most efficient and cost-effective services possible."

The expansion also addresses "the increasing demand for high-value yarns and for tailor-made solutions where innovation, consistent quality, and quick responses are essential to compete in the global business arena."

The new filament yarn twisting facility has more than 4,000 spindles with a count range of up to 600 dtex and a twist range of 50-2500 tpm. It produces flat, textured, mass and spool dyed yarn made from polyamide, polyester, PBT, PLA, and mixed polymers.
