Ralph Lauren has confirmed the appointment of former Gucci executive Laura Lendrum to the position of president of the group's US stores division.

Lendrum will be responsible for the overall strategic direction, management and execution of the Ralph Lauren retail business in the US.
Lendrum's career spans 23 years in luxury retail, having most recently served as president of PPR subsidiary Gucci. 

Prior to Gucci, Lendrum spent ten years as the president of Yves Saint Laurent, where she managed retail and wholesale operations for North America, and oversaw the launch and development of the brand's e-commerce business.

She also spent more than ten years in store management roles for Gucci and Chanel.
