Apparel business Ralph Lauren has today (9 December) confirmed the departure of Daniel Lalonde, president of the company's international division.

Lalonde was appointed to the newly created role two years ago, with responsibility for the group's international operations.

It is understood Lalonde decided to step down from his position in September, when the company created the position of office of the chairman.

Lalonde has previously held a number of key management roles within luxury conglomerate LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton.

Prior to Ralph Lauren, Lalonde was president and CEO of Moet & Chandon after serving as the president and CEO of Louis Vuitton's North American division.
