Ralph Lauren Corp has appointed Daniel Lalonde to the newly created role of president of its international division, where he will oversee all of the company's international operations.

"International growth is a key strategic initiative for our company," said chairman and CEO Ralph Lauren. "After achieving tremendous success in Europe, we are very focused on continuing those efforts and on expanding our presence throughout Asia.

"Daniel is a seasoned and talented leader within our industry. I look forward to working closely with him to further elevate and grow the Ralph Lauren brand in our international markets."

Lalonde has held a series of key management roles within LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton. Most recently he was president and CEO of Moet & Chandon. He was previously president and CEO of Louis Vuitton's North American division.
