Middle East fast fashion firm RedTag has deployed Infor Supply Chain Execution (SCE) software for its Dubai distribution centre.

RedTag, which had already implemented Infor's M3 for Fashion ERP system, said the deployment is part of its strategy to manage exceptionally large growth. SCE will help it increase throughput, improve the speed of critical logistics operations, facilitate cross-docking and improve customer service.

The company now hopes to roll the software out across all six of its facilities.

The Dubai centre handles fashion and homewares for stores across the UAE and Gulf States. Previously based on manual processes, the centre faced issues of low efficiency and inaccurate picking, and frustrating plans for growth, RedTag said. This led to a project to automate the warehouse and implement a comprehensive warehouse management solution.

"Our growth over the past two years has been staggering and our ambitions for the next two are very aggressive," explained Rajiv Shankar, chief information officer for RedTag. "As a result we need our supply chain to be optimised around speed and agility.

"The increases in throughput and improvements in customer service that we have already realised are very encouraging."
