Clothing and footwear retailer Sprider has posted a 27.2 per cent jump in pretax profit to €2.6 million for the January-September period.

The company, which is 80 per cent owned by the Haji-Ioannou group, reported a turnover of  €38.2m for the period. Debts were cut by 53.6 per cent, from €39.4m to €30.5m.
Sprider was listed on the main market of the Athens Stock Exchange in 2004.
